What kind of printer and have you been to the manufacturers website to look for troubleshooting steps? Go to start, settings, printers and make sure your printer is properly identified. Right-click the listed printer and choose properties and note the driver version under one of the tabs listed there. There may be a troubleshooting tab there also. Go to the manufacturers website and check for the latest driver. You also might try a real close inspection for jammed up bits of paper.

Zbyte ...

you might try a different printer cable ...

sometimes, the simple act of disconnecting and re connecting the existing cable could help ...

I suspect, and that is all it is .. a "suspect" ... that it is a hardware difficulty and not a software problem ....

The fact of you reloading drivers making it work shows me that the "initial" bootup of the printer is bypassing the internal override default ....

but,
then again ... it is an unusual problem ....

good luck
