There are a couple of places near downtown Reno that have been doing this for a while. Expansion into the mainstream is a good indicator.

FWIW and BTW, a recent trip to Reno suggests that it's getting a little tight for the gambling houses. A couple of the clubs announced reduced earnings this week. Blackjack rules are tightening up (double-deck is tending toward doubling down on only 8/9/10/11 instead of any two cards) and Cal-Neva's 99c breakfast is back to 99c all day instead of 11PM-8AM (when it went to the wallet-busting $1.74). I'm in a couple of frequent-player clubs, and have gotten a few free-room offers above and beyond any that I've earned by playing (which is in fact "none so far"). A new casino, Siena, opened in the past month. It's a classy place, tighter BJ rules as mentioned above, and not nearly as much bells and clanking (i.e. winning) in the slot area as I'm used to hearing for a given number of machines and players.

It's only a few data points, but the combination suggests to me that they are forgoing a miniscule amount of income where possible to get you in, with the goal of hitting you a little harder with the rules changes.

But no limits on the brands of bourbon, vodka, etc. you can get in your drink yet. Circus Circus did this a couple of years ago during some lean times.

I wonder if I could start a franchise in Illinois doing this, what do you need? Any ideas or does this lazy man have to do his own research?

I wonder if I could start a franchise in Illinois doing this..... time for some research.

I'm getting sick of other people fleecing my flock and getting away with it. I'm thinking it's my turn to roast some suckers.
