In fact, he never said she had a distaste for justice. Things "such as" justice are not necessarily justice.

The reason tone is important is to answer objections suggesting that the snideness was merely personal, or had been provoked, or numerous other defenses that could be mounted. Perhaps I should have said "tenor of the discussion"......
