<<I'm wondering the same thing. Does my computer have an internal modem?>> should be in the specs--my Presario has 56k internal modem and (though it does me no good) a DSL internal modem. If it has a 28k internal modem, that's no good,as i did tell a major difference in function when i got this computer with a 56k---hey i didn't know you were high-speed access:) Based on Barron's article that cable modems are going to win the war with DSL(rather handily they indicate),i would think someone will buy up the ATHM customers.Barrons sees Adelphia,Comcast,Charters as eventual winners along with a couple others, but i don't have article in front of me now.Max

disturbing chatter on the nighttime Bloomberg feed from England,is the chatter that stocks are doing well on a "what if the fed raises 50basis?" speculation.
The fedometer is saying 100% chance for 25basis and 10% chance for 50basispoints. It seems AG needs make a big surprise:) max

Once @Home's debt is wiped out, they could be an attractive candidate for a cable company like Comcast. I think Excite will be left to die, however.
