Frank,
After spending 4 years in a company doing government business, I've seen no fewer than 5 protests filed by competitors (I'm sure the number was higher but don't want to exaggerate). In the cases we faced, the issue was always one of pricing, a competitor undercut us but their equipment was technically inferior. In the end, it was mainly a nuisaance when these protests were filed. Contracting officers for the most part are very good at following the guidelines in place for awarding a contract. A bidding process is put in place, technical specs and pricing is submitted and reviewed and the contract awarded. If procedure is followed properly, I would not expect to see a contract overturned or rebid. I suppose time will tell and we will all learn a little more about this process from watching it play out in the news releases. My personal opinion is that this is just sour grapes on part of the other bidders and maybe they are using some political clout to try and force their way back in the door.

Frank,

I suppose I'm exaggerating a little. But, have seen it before (more than once). Obviously, I am a hopeful long. On the bright side, in the WA Post they show the top 10 losers each day based on price. However, only if stocks are over $5/share! At least I don't have to see GX on that list anymore!! Good luck. Tim.
