Ericsson acquires Hewlett-Packard's remaining interest in EHPT

In order to build a strong position within business support systems and billing systems for 3G and Internet payment, Ericsson has decided to acquire Hewlett-Packard's remaining 19 per cent interest in EHPT.

EHPT's activities will be consolidated into Ericsson's operations, effective September 4, 2001. By consolidating these operations Ericsson strengthens its telecom management activities and creates new possibilities and competence synergies.
