A discount rate cut would be a positive for market liquidity... The banks could borrow from the FED at a lower rate... This could put downward pressure on the rates they charge their customers... Sometimes the banks don't lower their rates, thus pocketing the spread... Officially, the FED frowns on this, but I haven't seen any bank CEO's being taken away in handcuffs for letting the reduced discount rate spread drop to their bottom line... : >

Let's see if the Nasdaq can close above 1900...
