Those are the issues Davis should be addressing. Not wasting taxpayer dollars attempting to stifle criticism.

Californians will face $60 billion in electricity costs over the next fifteen years under poor long-term contracts negotiated by Governor Gray Davis.

Davis blames Texas energy companies, but they provided only 10% of the electricity purchased by the state. Meanwhile, a municipal utility run by Davis' top energy advisor charged the state as much as $1,000 per megawatt for power. And millionaire energy consultants hired by Davis to purchase electricity for the state owned stock in the very companies from which they bought power.

And the electricity Davis bought for $60 billion? He's now selling it at a loss. Power purchased for as much as $138 per megawatt is now being sold for pennies on the dollar.

Davis blames others, but his own policies have exacerbated the problem and left California consumers footing the bill.
