Wanna: I'm also curious if faster speed grades of Athlons are on their way, given that faster Duron releases will soon be entering the frequency range where Athlon is enjoying the highest volumes.

Do to AMD's (IMHO) wacky pricing scheme, the distribution is not quite as it used to be. E.g., AMD claimed they shipped 250k 1.4GHz Athlons in Q2. Remember, this chip wasn't introduced until early June, so it's pretty clear that the distribution of sold Athlons is weighted unusually heavily towards the higher speed grades.
