Fewer 'fallen angels' in US this quarter

globalarchive.ft.com

A slowing in the number of US credit downgrades indicates corporate debt management is finally improving.

Only 49 downgrades have been issued so far for US companies this quarter, compared with 152 in the last quarter, according to Moody's Investors Service.

Mark,

Wouldn't these fallen angels drop in credit ratings provide a possible reason for shorting MBIA (MBI)?
