Do you or anyone know if books are available on MP3 yet? I've just seen an MP3 player that is built to be put inside an athletic bra and it would be perfect for long treks on the treadmill.

Yes, it was written by a man who did vast research and conducted many interviews. Was the book group disconcerted because they think authors shouldn't write in the voice of the other sex? There are some feminists who take that position, I know. Not many, though. Maybe your group was disconcerted just because he did such a convincing job of it? He also wrote in the voice of a member of another culture. Even harder, I suspect. The difficulty of writing convincingly in the voice of a member of the opposite sex may be lessened when the cultural differences are so much the focus of the reader, too.

I was thinking about a little CD player. What advantages does it have over the tape player? Are there as many books out on CD? Do you get your tapes and CDs from the library?
