Poet,

I sold 2 AMAT Jan 40 puts @ 4.9 and two QCOM Jan 50 puts at 4.8. So now I'll sit back and monitor it. If their stock prices rise significantly, I'll buy them back. If I get assigned, I'll write calls, depending on what price I get assigned at.

My main risk is if the market tanks big before Jan exp.

Nothing really new or exciting.

I'm hoping the market rallies soon so I can sell calls on other stocks in my portfolio.

To thread... don't know if anyone's interested in scmr, but there is a nice return on sept 7.50puts at 2.40-2.70 ...I just put in an order for 8x2.7=2130(sub comm) if put 7.50x800=6000 -- return of 35.5% -- Looks like things may be turning around for this bedraggled stock. They sit on 1.2 bil cash so are able to weather downturn, plus possible acquisitions. Not touting stock. Just the return! All best, PoetTrader
