Absolutely true. K&M Elektronik may only be representative for the very small percentage of the DIY enthusiast market in Germany. Nevertheless, it shows how popular the Athlon is in Germany among the hobbyists.

wanna, The K&M Electronik data shows that people who make up their own minds are buying AMD products instead of Intel products.
This will trickle down to the corporate level as the news that AMD stuff works well and fast diffuses into the IT depts manglers(at the top of the manglement heap).
As this happens those IT depts will buy AMD products from those major OEMs that offer tham. This will give the smaller OEMs with the flexibility to shift from Intel an opening.
