Bill: The K&M Electronik data shows that people who make up their own minds are buying AMD products instead of Intel products.

I don't know of a single "DIY person" who has bought an Intel chip since the Athlon was introduced. Not one.

I've asked in a couple of SD shops here in Denmark and they virtually only sell AMD chips. I'd venture the same pattern is repeated for SD shops everywhere.

The question is, how big is the DIY market? 5%? 10%?

But Bill, no one was ever fired for buying IBM!

Oh I'm sorry that should be Intel now isn't it? You're right, it may take a while, but peoples' attitudes can change. It's just how long that concerns me.
