Playing devils advocate, one can say that the uptrend (however slight) is a sign of better things to come and since the market is typically six months ahead, now's the time to buy

This rally, such as it is, on BtB news represents grasping at straws IMO

You might add that the equipment makers is not going to rebound until the chips do. The chips aren't going to rebound until networking, pc's, wireless do. The chips can't buy new equipment unless they have money/profits.

To say otherwise is ignoring the food chain and simple logic.
