I really don't know the current fundamentals due to the company's "lack of visibility" (if the CEO does not know it, who does?), but I do like their broad product and business diversification. corning.com I think it is a buy here, but I certainly can't predict whether it has bottomed. It's pretty obvious to me that Corning is the better relative value. This is not speaking to whether Corning alone is a good value of not. I was simply looking at relative valuations. << I have been watching GLW for quite sometime and I notice that downward slide has recently subsided. >> Yeah, while JDSU's slide continued. It seems the market has recognized the valuation disparity and is trying to resolve it.
