JQP The point being if the only difference between this Winter coming and the last one is that NG is priced $1 - 2 cheaper than residual/distillate oil that the estimated 500 bcf of oil that was burned by generators in place of NG will be consumed from NG inventory.

Take a look at the EIA Electrical Monthly back issues and see how many plants in the South switched to oil in December and stayed there at least through April.

This Winter there will be more NG fired capacity in place to further exploit fuel price / efficiency differentials.
