While trying to come back up to speed on energy, came across this snippet by George Clemen. Perhaps some Northeast folks may find it a profittable read.

EIA data released yesterday shows US heating oil inventories full and production slightly lower than previous weeks. Import rates remain low. As September arrives, heating oil should start to move to distributor and consumer tanks in preparation for winter, which should show up as an inventory draw down. When this occurs, the investment community may drive prices higher on the theory that production is not keeping up with demand. Wholesale and retail prices will probably follow. Thus, if you will be buying heating oil this fall, now would be a good time to fill your tank.

Remember the old boy scout manual with the section on artificial resuscitation? A week or so ago Cinderella Ed wrote a eulogy for this thread and listed the names of the "dearly departed," including my own:

Ten days later some folks have decamped for different hunting grounds and the ghosts have come back to life, including Douglas V. Fant.

There must have been a whole lot of lurkers around here.
