I am still smiling about it. It was meant to be funny, and it was apparently received as such. Now as to being "disreputable". I am not aware that this group signed anything saying specifically they would not speak about their faith if asked? Are you? I know that Bibles have been smuggled into countries that have not allowed them for years. I know of one instance when a border guard asked one Christian what was in his bag and being unable to openly lie to the guard, he said it's full of bibles. The guard laughed and said be on your way. It is a tricky moral question that different Christians have answered in different ways. Most say that all laws should be obeyed, (including speed limits) as long as they don't directly contradict God's commands for our lives. Daniel was told not to pray, he ignored the command on threat of death and God delivered him from the lions den. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, were commanded to bow down and worship an idle or face death and their response was that "God was able to deliver them but even if he didn't they would not worship an idol." They were delivered from the fires of the furnace. Daniel and his friends were the epitome of loyal servants to a despotic and evil ruler, but for them, God had the preeminence. As a self described Libertarian, I am surprised that you don't take the position that all people should be free to decided religious beliefs for themselves, regardless of ethnic or religious heritage, and regardless of what the government says. We allow Hindu's and Buddhist's to come to our countries and the sky has yet to fall. The Taleban are tyrannists at all levels, if it is ok to oppose them at one level of tyranny, why is it not in the area of religion? I should run I have my Niece and her brothers here today. Have a good day Greg
