ANYONE REMEMBER KOMAG or WESTERN DIGITAL, or IOMEGA?

Take a look at the history of DISK DRIVE's and what the net effect of OVER CAPACITY w/ shrinking utilization can do to a particular segment of technology!

I love when I hear folks say, but chips are different they are in everything! Look here chips are a commodity plain and simple. The more you produce w/ less utilization the less valuble they become! Disk-Drive makers were like the hottest thing since slice bread!!

They actually started the rally from late 1994 to 1998. Unfortunatly because of their OWN GREED of over production they are just about worth less made then they are to make!

Tell me why nooone talks about KOMAG, WESTERN DIGITAL, IOMEGA, these were the FUTURE!

CSCO news was not good....nor was it bad. All they said was that they see some stability which means orders are not going down, and they are not going up. Stable means not moving. Earnings are still forecast to be lower for the next quarter and besides, for them to say anything at all only 6 weeks into the quarter is moot as things can change. But part of a company's strive for success is to keep looking on the bright side and if all they have to say is things are looking stable, then they are still not doing well.
