With respect, this is an utterly ridiculous statement. He made this statement only when it became clear that he had no alternative. His remarks were not an act of leadership; they were an act of desperation.

Surely you jest. The twin showed more cajones when whe used her fake ID.; and she did that just to have a little fun. Dick is trying to save the dems butt and all he can do is whine a little 1/2 yr latter. He hasn't initiated sanctions, or even talked about taking his post on the intelligence committee yet. When Newt and Mitchell had problems, within 60 days they announced their resignation.
