To: sea_biscuit who wrote (21372 ) 8/26/2001 2:48:17 AM From: uu Read Replies (2) | Respond to of 24042 Dipy, With all due respect - after going through your posts on LSI and also on this thread I can only conclude the following: a) You are some what upset at yourself for not following the trend during the past 10 years to enjoy the gains that you could have had investing in the techs. As a result you now feel a bit over joyed for watching those who maintained their investment in the techs suffering huge losses (paper of otherwise) -- although for those who stayed fully invested since 1992 in stocks such as CSCO, JDSU, etc. they are still well ahead of those who either decided to sit on the sideline or invest in traditional old economy stocks. b) For some unknown reason you have become very much obssessed with a bit of your ego who wants everyone to tell you "Yes, Dipy you are a wise man for being so overly pessimist"! c) For whatever reason you really are upset at the tech bulls whom you think of as nothing but a buch of arrogant idiots! However if you read your own posts you do also see a certain arrogance that can be considers as the mother of all arrogance! And which it is meant to imply that you are right and the entire world is wrong! d) You no longer (as I used to read your posts till a couple of years ago) follow a logical approach in making your argues. You sound more and more like a bitter old man who has seen his youth passed by without doing much with it, and now is trying to justify that by mocking others who try to enjoy their youth!" Bottom line, Dipy, I repeat stating the following: 1) If you really believe in your own strong convictions then start shorting stocks such as JDSU. And dont come up with some superficial reasoning that shorting is for aggressive investors! Market is there for you to make money. If you believe in what you are saying then you must act upon it! b) It is rather strange (if not kinky) for someone to so aggressively bash a stock when he has absolutely no interest in taking any position in that stock (either on the short side or the long side)! c) Birth may indeed be the beginning of the death. However you ought to enjoy the days in between instead of worrying about the end! But regretfully from your posts one can only conclude that you are the type who is afraid of going outside simply because it may rain! Or like the analogy I gave you, you are the type who under no circumstances would live in sunny California, because he is scared to death of the possible earth quake that can happen and which may wipe out the entire state, and therefore he instead would live in somewhere like North Dakota just to be safe and away from the earthquake! d) If you want to enjoy 500%+ returns in about 24-48 months from now, you have only one and one choice: Buy stocks such as JDSU, CSCO, LSI, VTSS, MSFT, INTC, CIEN, GLW, etc. Dont try to come up with some logic and deny yourself the 500%+ (if not more) gains simply because your ego does not allow you to accept the fact that tech stocks (the likes I mentioned to you above) are growth stocks and what makes the economy grow now and for ever . And finally, Life is about enjoying, not being afraid of everything and anything! Regards,
