Re: there is a little problem

It's not a little problem - it's a huge problem.

Why AMD marketing can't figure out that they have to label a chip that performs as well as P4 1.8 with the same performance label as a P4 1.8 is something I consider a terrible oversight. Manufacturers market and promote computers according to their MHZ/GHZ labels - sometimes to the near total exclusion of any other information (AMD or Intel, PIII or Celeron, Athlon or Duron). AMD is doing a disservice to its customers by not labeling its processors in a way its customers can understand.

"The power of 1.8GHZ" should be on the boxes of 1.4GHZ Athlons, and "the power of 2.2GHZ" should be on the box of a 1.5GHZ Athlon 4.

Unless and until that happens, there is, as you say, a problem for AMD.
