And it gets worse. If the Democrats enforce this ridiculous deflation with their "trust fund" myth, they will try to go to the people in 2002 and 2004 whining "Bush caused a recession! Bush caused a recession!" and the people are going to see through it, because they are all investors now, and are wise to socialist propaganda. The latest defensive retort may be the most devastating: "What are YOU going to do? RAISE TAXES?"

Mondale ran against Reagan in the wake of a recession during Reagan's first term. Mondale's campaign theme was that he would raise taxes because it was "responsible". He lost 49 states. And his home state of Minnesota counted into the wee hours before he finally got that as a consolation prize.

You can't elect socialism, regardless of the state of the economy...
