The only dream Gary Winnick had was to become the richest man in the world. Granted, he did his best to try and achieve this -- on the backs of Global Crossing's sharheholders.

The repeated paragraph in the letter makes me a wee bit suspicious suspicious.

Third, with our core network complete, we can now offer private lines and other services between 4,000 city pairs. Because of our on-net advantage, these services can be offered at compelling pricing levels with provisioning speed no one can match.

Does anyone have the GX IR phone # handy? Would be easy to call and ask about the authenticity of the letter.

Winnick's Letter:

re: repeated 'third reason'.
I would not be concerned over a cut and paste typo, but you are correct that Winnick's crew would not be prone to allowing such a detail to slip by. It does sound Winnick-like to me. And the obvious morale-boosting is not the mark of a shill.

The comments made wrt the competitive nature of GX services could be reason enough for DT shares being dumped, and no rise in share prices for other legacy carriers is on the horizon either.

I have another question:
Today is the first day I ever saw the name Confidence Board associated with the consumer confidence number. Does anyone have any information about the Confidence Board company, and has their number been the only published consumer confidence number, or have there been others?
