Well that's a good reason to agree with your homeschooling point. Kids need to learn to get on in the world and resolve their own issues. Actually that's quite key to a good life I think. Unfortunately Ms Hopeless can inflict quite a bit of damage on a 7 or 8 eight year old that is supposed to be in 'sponge' mode, cerebrally speaking. They probably have not yet acquired all the required defense mechanisms.

Personally I think this is best.

Put the crappy teachers in universities where they belong LOL. If you can't get on independently by that point you're probably in the wrong place.
