Glenn, is EBAY a tech stock, or a retail stock?
"I would call them tech in the general sense. The more technology features they can add that helps selling or buying, the more money they can make."

Ebay isn't a tech stock, simply because it uses technology as its media to provide a service. That would be like saying online brokers are tech stocks, because they use technology to provide a service.

Warren Buffett Forecasts Eight Bad Years

On page eight, the September 3 issue of Business Week (its not online yet) says:

"...executives who've met with Buffett say that he is predicting eight years of economic stagnation. Buffett attributes the standstill to a "hangover effect" from the excesses of the late 1990s, says one private equity investor who has heard the Sage of Omaha's reasoning.

Anybody care to comment on this?

Thanks,
Tom

But Glenn they are strongly buffeted by the same winds as the retail sector, no? I've watched them get trounced the last couple of weeks as the retail sector has taken a downturn.
