Hi Ray,

It would be an interesting turn of events if the farmed fish were included in the "mad disease." Alaska has been fighting to get the natural runs of salmon certified organic, but are told that there is no way that it can be proved what the fish eats. Only farmed fish can be grown in a controlled environment, therefore can be deemed organic.

The Kodiak Seiners received $0.09 a pound this year for their Pink salmon. The Reds finished at about $0.75. Want to buy a fishing boat; they are cheap (and go broke). This summer the crew of six men had two fishermen who did not fish this year and probably did the right move by working construction

I like the reference to the “Drill&Spill” Club. Some of the pipelines here are splitting their seams; they are getting old and thin. Yet we are assured that the 48”er will continue to flow safely to Valdez. Oh well, I won’t stop driving my car, so I can’t say too much about it and I have made a pile of cash off the oil patch.
