Okay. Our dictionaries differ.

I make no great defense of mine; I use it only because it's the one most commonly cited by the State Supreme Court, and when you're a lawyer you go with what the courts go with!

But we still get into the issue of whether men should be more considerate toward women than toward men in any areas. The article I posted part of here recently suggests that some women are still ambivalent about that. I find some women are pleasantly surprised when I open the car door for them, some (mostly older) expect it and would be disappointed in me if I didn't, and some take it as an insult. But since that's what my mother taught me to do, I still do it unless I know in advance it will be unwelcome.

Would it be sexist of me to say sometimes it's confusing to be a guy? If you think so, then I won't say it. But I might think it!
