So, you guess wrong. I didn't say that intel was "O.K.", is said they were diversified. The discussion was about AMD and intel being in the "same environment", they're not. It didn't have anything to do with anybody being "O.K."

It is a simple investment strategy, in the long run, being diversified is better than being focused on one thing. Being focused is great, if what you're focusing on is doing great. Being diversified doesn't mean your investment will be "O.K." when everything is bad. But it certainly gives you a better chance of riding out the bad.

AMD is focused on Semiconductors. Intel is diversified in Semiconductors, Networking, Wireless Communication, and e-business. For a "Long Term" investor, the choice IS simple.

"well I guess that Intel is ok then"

You seem to take analysts for their word....so I guess we can expect 10% marketshare loss for AMD per one of your posts....why did you choose not to cite this one
