My recco is to use the "least" amount of volts to get the fastest speed ... all the while watching the temp, of course ...
I recall you had the system stable at around 1.6 without an increase in voltage ....

Your recollection is correct. 1.577 ghz at 1.80 v. I was able to get into the 1.7 ghz area cranking the volts up but it was not too stable. Course, I had turned all but 2 of the extra fans off as it sounded like an airplane in here.<G> My understanding is these motherboard temperature readings are understated by 15*C. Apparently, a cpu should not exceed 90*C or it will be toast. Course, any temperature increase causes a shortening of its useful life.

What kind of driver was it that created the reboot problem?

Bob

I'm running IE5.5 on WinMe and I think that the hourglass while busy not functioning properly is caused by a combo of those two ..
sometimes I can get the hourglass to pop up IF I move the cursor ...

Nemer

The hourglass will show if you move the cursor upward into the toolbar or above.

The same condition exists in Windows XP as in ME.

Sometimes when a new operating system is installed one must go to Control Panel and into the Mouse settings and do a reset in order to install the desired cursor.
