I would have jumped all over you a month ago for not giving W a chance but after seeing his interview on the middle east the other day and hearing Powell is on vacation while career state department folks(always anti-israel) contradict the presidents policy I have to reassess. If he is that dumb or ineffectual on foreign policy, can we expect better for the economy. Whether the SS lockbox is fact or fiction doesnt matter, its the perception of bush as ignorant an uncaring by the public that is hurting confidence and that includes consumer confidence at a very critical time. Remember last november when the market tanked partially because the uncertainty of a tie, now its the uncertainty of if we are being effectively governed. mike
