No, just an example of the need for more regulation to protect our precious natural resources not less. We had cheap salmon there for many years but now they're greatly diminished, and when they go so do the bears, orcas, eagles, etc. It's also an example of why we all need to conserve and preserve in our little ways. As a whole that makes a big difference. And then we can minimize the need for timber, oil, etc. the harvesting of which diminishes what natural riches we still have as a country. The real problem is population control. Everything else is a by-product. So consume less and preserve more. The least we can do.
