From the article,

International Business Machines (IBM) on Thursday launched a $699 computer server based on an Intel Corp. (INTC) microchip, bringing its lowest price down to near the same level as Dell Computer Corp. (DELL).

Geez, next they'll be attaching a Palm Pilot to a network hub and call that a "server." When that happens, I'm out of a job. :-(

In 1,000-unit quantities, the desktop Intel Celeron processor at 1.10 GHz is priced at $103

Yeah, well this puts some additional pressure on AMD. Of course a lot of IT managers will decide to purchase Ghz Celery boxes instead of P4 boxes. So Intc might be shooting themselves in the foot with this one. Margins keep going down-down-down.
