Hi all, another article about the coming convergence of the Hollywood and Silicon Valley. Microsoft may be the company that everyone loves to hate, but I hope the government leaves them alone long enough to make their dreams a reality on this one. The consumers would benefit tremendously, but even better, bandwidth demands would skyrocket due to video over the internet and companies like Cisco will ride the wave all the way to the bank. Go Microsoft!

MM&Thread,
Tax loss selling by funds has been debunked by many analysts. Most losses are taken to offset gains. Tech fund='s no gains this year. In any case after a year like this there should be less of it than you are expecting. That may change your equation for when to buy cisco et al.
One other point. I have heard rumors that cisco was looking to buy ciena or scmr? Anyone hear this and does anyone have an opinion on what a purchase like this might do for the naz in general and cisco in particular. My gut says naz flies more than enough to weather any stock decline for the purchaser. Anyway have a good rest of the weekend. I will be back later for responses. mike
