Unfortunately Karen, it's a package deal with God, Keep all His laws perfectly, or face death. Do you never tire of speaking for "God" gregg? Remember Moses after he descended from Mount Sinai? And found that the Hebrews had made to themselves a golden calf to which they sacrificed and bowed in adoration? (BTW: They would have been much better off worshipping the Calf than your Golden God of absolutes , by far .) But to keep the law sacred Mr Moses shattered the Calf into dust , made the Hebrews drink the water with the dust mixed into it ... Afterwards, Moses assembled the sons of Levi and said to them: "Thus says the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword on his side, and go to and fro from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor" (Exod. 32, 27-28). Of course in his zeal to preserve the true religion of God and prevent all the Hebrews falling into the degradation of idolatry Moses had twenty three thousand of his fellow race killed that day. As I said , they were better off without Moses , the Golden God of Moses , and instead worshipping the----> calf ! but the followers of Moses were by far the more murderous & more vicious. Yet that we became clever killers , did we ascend and evolve to the present day "believers" <gg> regards Mars PS: One day you'll tire of speaking for God , Greg...For one who is so infallible, by his own admission. And BTW , there is another Law above the Golden Rule , that is it's equal ....it is ----->Know Thyself** ...that takes science , religion , art , philosophy all ...the four expressions/products of man's spirit.

Interesting isn't it , gregg, that one of the first "acts" Moses commits after delivering unto his people the Holy Ten Commandments of The Golden Thunder God from Mountain.... And the first law was ----> Thou Shalt Not Kill Moses then orders the bloody executions of 23,000 of his own people . (Exod. 32, 27-28). Message 16294310 What utter unholy non-sense it seems to be ...for worshipping a gentle calf , no less ! <gg> regards Mars PS: Mr Moses wasn't very obedient to his new found imaginary friend , was he ? I also seem to remember in the temple in israel , they managed to kill 10,000 goats in one day as sacrifice to your God of the Mountain.. (or was it burning the burning bush ? ) Wonderful , greg ...just wonderful and how devout . Just filled with the Holy Spirit , no less , and such an appreciation and reverence for life .<gg>
