To cut or not to cut - this is not the question ... the issue is to NAFTA or not to ... does your nation want free trade with ours, or not? ... does it think it can use us as a cheap source of energy and water and whatever else it wants, and a dumping ground for the copious schlock that flows north by the tonne over that border, and at the same time kill our principal industry for the crime of keeping from a moon launch the land value appraisals of a few club-swinging pendejos with access to its halls of power? Those are the questions Ray ... don't think for a minute that i'm averse to getting into discussion of responsible stewardship of land, i'm not at all, in fact that's a longtime personal hobbyhorse .... but today there is a clear and present danger presented to us, it overwhelms and delays the progress toward better systems, it is an artificial force thrust at us by outsiders and makes within us strange allies indeed ... such a shame that this threat necessarily entails division by nationality and the examination of the shameful record of the offending nation against other independent peoples, but that's just the way it is Ray, we'd much rather not have the problem to deal with, and when we have beaten it we will move on to other priorities ... cheers
