Best I remember of recent history, the hardest of hard currency types never said "there should be nothing except gold"? Just that gold was "another currency".

They call us extremists, but we are willing to "live & let live", while they would rather kill even paper money in favor of their own brand of credit???

Bank of NY ATM network up after 9-day shutdown
NEW YORK, Sept 20 (Reuters) - Bank of New York Co. Inc. (NYSE:BK - news) on Thursday said its network of 350 automated teller machines is running after a nine-day shutdown starting when two hijacked planes destroyed the World Trade Center last week.

The downtown New York-based bank's ATMs broke down on Sept. 11 after planes slammed into the landmark twin towers, presumably killing thousands of people. The attack also forced offices to evacuate and knocked out telecommunication lines supporting many computer systems in the city's financial hub.

Bank of New York's network was restored on Wednesday at 2100 EST. The bank has said it will reimburse customers for fees they paid to use other banks' ATMs during the outage.
