I would disagree that random number generators are chaotic. Chaotic systems are random systems in which there is a tendency (not a determination) for certain kinds of output. Random number function y=f(x mod 2^16) will repeat EXACTLY the same random pattern every 2^16. I would call that a cyclic, pseudorandom function. Chaotic systems are TRULY random with loci of attraction for the solution set (the strange attractors).
