The new regulation is actually beneficial. Most brokers will now offer 4x margin instead of 2x.

Also, one can make just as much on 1 trade a day vs. 15 trades a day. If you figure the market may bottom in October.... the new regulation starting 9/28/01 is not too bad if you look at it optimistically.

This "business" has never been, nor will it ever be, a level playing field. There are simply too many getting very rich by being on the inside. They will not let many into the game. They've got a firm grip on the ball and they will continue to make the rules.
