OPINIONS ON OPTION PLAYS?

General question for all.

The overall view here and everywhere is that INTC has bottomed and that tomorrows update will be a non event followed by a rally (slight). Also, it is interesting that there is MASSIVE CALL interest on INTC at these levels.

The end result makes me wonder if perhaps we will see a selloff friday (assuming the update news is fair to bad, like SUNW update), particularly since there are bullish option plays being made AND this thread seems to not be too worried.

Just curious as to people thoughts. I already have a put/call combo position on INTC so I dont care what happens, as long as there are price swings.

Regards,
Bob

TWY, The Power4 that I've heard of contains multiple CPU cores on one die. That's going to make it huge. Likely, they will only use it for their highest end solutions, and continue with their current CPU lines for their other models. At least at first, until they can cost reduce it. If you think it will have volumes to compete with Itanium, then you are probably overestimating. Given the tone of your voice, I'm willing to believe your response was a vain attempt to troll around the Intel forum, rather than to give sound financial advice.
