Agreed. This the natural result of any developed economy continuously increasing unit productivity and potential competitors refusing to give up before the red ink actually appears all over their books. This is worse when the potential competitors actually have access to credit.

...The solution is for industries to consolidate.

If the government doesn't pursue its anti-trust fallacies.
