Probably, though the base would be happy with her. The alternatives are a slimebag ambulance chaser who couldn't carry his own state, a freaked-out veteran who went on TV as soon as he got home and accused the government he now wants to preside over of being "criminal", and a wimp who can't carry the 90% black base because they don't like his religion.

Few people who can do anything else successfully enter politics, because we have let the left wing media cannibalize our leaders. The Democrats went for years without any prospects before Clinton came along and managed to hold his own in a split race. They are cycling through again.

The Hillary comment was made in semi-jest ... to get a rise out of the other side. However, if this country did indeed slide into a steep recession, say, in 2003, then the playing field could change considerably and Sen. Clinton's name would be mentioned prominently as presidential timber. I would have no reservations whatsoever in casting my vote for her.
