"It is absolutely true and my point is that he lives in New York and was not a fisherman. He has been around the world previously, as an Evangelist. He was in FL, to see his relatives, and his cousin was the fisherman. He was clueless, but directed his cousin, till they caught the catch of a lifetime.' He does not live in NY anymore, he lives or did live in FLA when the Elian story happened, to my knowledge he still lives there. We have never heard the evangalist story and I don't think the press has. There are conflicting versions about who directed who to Elian when he was rescued at sea. Now if you think god had anything to do with it, are you suggesting that god allowed Elians mother to drown but directed Donato to save him only to allow him to go back to Cuba? Is god on the side of the Cubans or did he just feel that the child belonged with his father after he drowned his mother. Donato has been making his living since then speaking and giving interviews to conservative writers and talk show hosts although he seems to have run his course in NY about 9 months ago at least......even the conservatives around here consider him a clown....don't be naive. I'm going to continue to search for the evangalist story and also his "world wide travels"
