Hi Ori.Mad Dog. Question about this statement " The researchers, after decades of effort, find that an extract from a plant found only in the Amazon rain forests in Brazil will effectively cure twelve different kinds of cancer tumors affecting 40 million people worldwide. "
The Cancer institute is a multi-million or billion dollar organization so do you really think that this institute would permit some plant from the Amazon to be freely given
to all who need it whether they be poor or rich and put thousands out of work. Then there would be all the Gov. grants gone no more donations etc. this is big business.
Can you just imagine the turmoil that would be created if over night a business this size were to no longer required.
Just a thought.
Take care
Lorne

OT

What will be the health care costs of saving these 40 million people?

What would the health care costs be if nothing is done?

What will the health care costs of saving these people, plus
the health care costs of taking care of them during whatever
infection, disease, etc. actually causes them to succumb?

Sorry. Just my little rant that life at any cost is ridiculous.
Quality of life needs to be considered imho.
No matter the miracles of medicine, man was not meant
to live forever.
