Hi Scott: Yes, certainly agree. Have said before it's a function of risk, and to manage risk according to what one can accept is why discipline to a plan is absolutely critical for success.

Have not mentioned it here on the Porch in quite some time, but as you may recall, I believe strongly that everyone should have a goal to become debt free and not owe anybody a dime. As you become debt free, it allows you to assume more risk, and hopefully even better returns.

In my situation, I take huge risk in my investing style, but I can assume the risk. It didn't come without a lot of bumps in the road and having my head handed to me on a platter many times. That guy's post made a couple of key points along those lines.
