RE: "But I believe we have started the turn-around. I bet I can recall 12-15 positive posts during this past week"

Brian and Kirk briefly discussed one piece of news that I believe may be one of the more positive indicators we've seen lately: "TSMC, UMC foundry sales both rise in August from July" Message 16313710 Foundry's are growing in SCE sector significance IMO.

Turn-around? Recovery?

While we are seeing signals that the bottom is most likely at hand, the question remains as to just how long this recovery will take.

BTW, I think it may have been Gottfried who commented that we need to define what "recovery" means. The term is used everywhere, yet it can include various meanings:

Recovery of unit sales?
Recovery of revenue?
Recovery of ASPs?
Recovery of EPS?
Recovery of stock prices?

In addition: What are we comparing to? What time frame are we using?

So, my answer to the recovery question is unquestionably: Yes! No! Maybe! Ask me tomorrow! Don't ask!
