Try the following: (1)go to www.dell.com (2)on the right side of the page, click on "small business" (3)click on "notebooks" (4)scroll down to pictures of 3 notebooks and directly under the pictures it says "View all models". If you put your cursor on the words (link) "View all models" you will see "javascript:winopen(..............)" at the bottom of the page above the start button. Clicking on that link results in nothing happening. Nothing at all. BTW, I just tried tc's suggestion (http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=16322635) and this is after testing according to instructions on that page (test yielded "done with error on page"). I verified (as per the instructions on that page) that the following was already set: For Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab. 2. In the Zone box, click Internet Zone. 3. Click the Custom Level... button. 4. Scroll down until you see the Microsoft VM section. 5. Ensure that the Java permissions option is not disabled. 6. Scroll down until you see the Scripting section. 7. Ensure that the Active Scripting and Scripting of Java applets are marked as enabled. 8. Click OK, and then click OK again. I then, as per that page (tc's link), downloaded and installed msjavx86.exe (the latest Java VM) and installed it and rebooted. Unfortunately, still no change. I'm lost... and as a novice that's a BIG problem. Hopefully this info will help someone figure this out. I sincerely thank one and all and appreciate your efforts to help. And sorry for the long post. Marty
