Steve -- just a few thoughts about your calculating forward PEs. I think it's a great idea, but two things jumped out at me: Do you have forward PE comparisons from other bear markets? If not, will you just be looking at forward PEs in a vacuum? I guess that I'm thinking that just as earnings estimates became inflated (along with prices) during the bull times, a similar thing will happen in the bear times: either stock prices will go too low or estimates will be cut too severely. Again, that's why I'm asking if you have forward PE comparisons from other bears. the freep
