We in Nebraska are proud to provide a bunker for any President in need. Even Clinton or Bush or any President that follows. Thank heavens he did not need to use the facility very long. Hope he needs not return other than for a better reason.

I was gravely disappointed with Bush's short speech.

I was too, Fred.

The pentagon spokesman that spoke earlier wasn't overly impressive either.

I certainly hope there's more going on behind the scenes than whats been evidenced to us.

The fact that this travesty was allowed to occur in the first place is bad enough. Our leaders need to redeem themselves sooner rather than later, as far as I'm concerned.

New York City Mayor acted like a leader today. He risked his life to take control of the situation and help others in need, imo.

You are not the only one displeased by our "leader" today,
you can add me to the list also.

This is an account from someone who lived blocks away...

The only official I saw who failed to create some sense of reassurance was the president. All he knew how to do was read his statement and offer a prayer. My honest, churlish reaction: I wish Bill Clinton were still the president. We all felt better when Mayor Giuliani came on. Giuliani is a man who knows how to deal with an emergency.
